Spring Rain

Spring time rain was so awesome this week as I was looking at the the awesome flowers blooming all around . It is a sure sign of spring even tho we are still chilly here in the Dakotas it is allot better then begin under a couple feet of snow.

A few comment I wanted to share about is the people that you come in contact with there is always a reason why???The Lord had a plan for each and every person you meet the first most important thing is to love on them with the LOVE that Christ has given to you and HE first loved you the other thing that comes to mind is Prayer here is a quote that I read the other day by Dr. Jim Richards with Impact Ministry ( take a peek -- awesome stuff there) it said this "Prayer isn't a payment we make for protection. It's a visit we make for RELATIONSHIPS" wow this means so much to me as far as the relationship with our heavenly father is the daddy of it all and HE wants to know it all and to grow with HIM he will plant those seeds watch them grow--so pray and get to know HIM!!!

One that note I have been busy with work, school, and of course home and FRIENDS far and near!!! Here are some goodies that I got from them farm girl Journal Swap from Carole from AZ and Joanna from NH I love these I also received some awesome vintage quilt blocks Lots of fun things to do that is for sure! NOT ENOUGH TIME THO!!! The necklace was made out of Buffalo bone and it is awesome I love it as well these are true treasures for life!!!

The signature quilt I have pictures of the one that my grandma did and each block was done by her children and then there kids it is awesome and it is sitting in a box just waiting for family to do something with it!!!! Treasures of Life that is what those are!!

There is a couple things that i wanted to share as well ~~~the first thing is a recipe of our families that is simple and yummy!!!!

Quick Delicious Chocolate Whoopie Pies

2 boxes of chocolate cake mixes ( I use cheapest)

2/3 oil

5 eggs

mix well very thick and sticky and drop with a small scoop on cookie sheet cook for 10 minutes at 350 and let them cool and then put frosting between two of them and make a sandwich cookie out of and they are yummy I wrap in plastic wrap !!!

The last thing that I wanted to share is this sweet picture of my grand daughter Mikka whom I was able to spend lots of time with last Friday and LOVED IT!!!

Snowing Once again---

Well we got some snow last night and most of the day today--Had an awesome day spending it with two and three year old there is nothing better than that I think!!!!

There some thoughts that I wanted to share on that not I love when I spend time with these little ones they are so dear to my heart --to see them dancing the chicken dance and doing kid yoga (gotta love that) they are so tender hearted and so lovable --so on that note would it be nice to have the heart of a two year the only thing that matters to them is the hugs that someone gives them and to be so full of joy and that joy is Christ like --So where is your joy today and what are you going to do today to make you feel like a child?? Take and enjoy the snow with a young person--make a card for a friend and color it--we all love to get a simple hand written letter in the mail--I know I love to send them as well as receive them.

I have had a great opportunity to meet people threw quilting and tatting and writing as well those are all people that those strings are attached to our hearts for some reason or another and so I think that we need to take a moment and pray for those people and write them a letter to say thanks for being you!!! I received a special "secret" package in the mail today boy was it nice to go to the mail box on a long day with two year old --hubby starting a new chapter in his book- and there was something special just for me to enjoy it put that extra patter in my heart today --"Thanks Secret Friend"

Spring is in AIr

Wow what a nice day we had today after a fewdays of fog--yucky! A few thought that I would like to ponder the first is Spring??? What does it mean to you and does it change your thinking?

Springs?

It is the sun shinning?

The Robin seen on the fence this morning?

News baby farm animals out on the prairie for us?

Maybe just new birth in general?

Garden preparation

To me there are a few things that comes to mind the first thing is Easter and that Jesus rose on Easter--early sun rises services,breakfast at church and then off to moms house we would go--this year our youngest daughter has a birthday on Easter how special is that!!! I look at this time of spring not in a hurry to get into the garden because it is at least a couple months until we can even think of planting--it seems like we always will get some some clear up to May --thats fine with me for now!

What a wonderful day----

How it is hard to believe that our daughter will be turning twenty tomarrow. The family will all be here to share that special day Mom and Dad will be here to have some fun with that new great grandbaby as well!!! We are all excited!!!

I have been busy tatting up a storm trying to finsh my first doily and make some bookmarks as well. I have been blessed with some great tatters freinds that have challenged me along with me advanures andthey are awesoem I love it so I can say that I have added beades to tatting and tried larges things. I love it!!!! Thanks Nancy!!!! This week has been such a great and quick week with no school on Monday and now it Saturday already.

I recieved some blessing this last week I got the baby blanket for Mikka that was made by "aunties of Q&N " I love it --It is so sweet!!!!!

LOVE WHAT IS IT......

In jsut a few day will be Valentines Day and there has been many things that has come to mind as I think of LOVE the one and for most thing is that the Love of Christ Jesus -- I have been doing some reading in 1 John :7-12 and there are lots of things that comes to mind like these that folow:

7. Beloved let us love one another:for love is of GOD ; and every one that loves is born of GOD, and knows God.

8. He that loveeth not knoweth God; for God is LOVE

9. In this was manifested the love of God toward us because that GOd sent his only begotten Son in the worl that we might live threw Him

As I think of these first three verses I think yep that is why the Lord is the most powerful thing in my life HE DIED FOR ME!!! As this time come there are a few things that I have had burning in my heart alot the in September I was visiting with a dear friend and as I was getting ready to hang up the phone from her and I told her that I loved her --she replied those words are so abused now days do you really know what love it and why would you say that to me --I pondered on this for months and here are my thought on this .......

Saying I love you

who needs to hear this? EVERYONE jsut so that know that they feel connected with not only on the human side by the Heavenly side too. just like it says in verse 7 we need to love one another and when we do that it is a feeling of acceptance.

There are times when you question there love at times too... yep we all go threw a time in our life and questioning love of someone but we always know that Christ Jesus always loves us no MATTER WHAT!

Then when my husband was gone for a week and I really missed him and our first grandchild was born and the LOVE that she has BIRTH that is another part of love that increadible.

Here are some thoughts to ponder on.... Who is the your most love and what are your memories of love as a child and how did they show you love....

Take some time and read this in the Word 1John 4:7-12 and put in the heart and let it stay there.

Blessings from Heaven above

Our little grand was born just four day ago and she is so sweet. The blessing that she is just an amazing thing. I have never seen the joy and proud feeling in my son.

As I went to school to teach all excited for my husband to come home after a week long visit with his family. I received this call MOM it is time and I want you here so to wait and wait finally it is c-section time our precious little grand daughter weigh 4 pounds and four ounces and only eighteen inches long came into our live.

Many project are going on as well some tatting exchanges along with some fun exchanges with other farm-girls thanks ladies!!!!

So this week challenge yourself to do something that is out of your Box-- give from your heart and ifit is 5 minutes to slow down and read with your child that is memories of a life time.

Great Day to Serve the Lord!!!

Today is a great day to Serve I know that there are many things going on in our lives with work, children, and all of the busy stuff but let take a moment and do a "SUDDENLY" for someone take cookie t someone do an errand for some one shut in or just take a moment and pray for all of those that need it.

I have been so blessed with my children , a wonderful husband and coming soon a new granddaughter and another on the way!!! What a blessing this will be.

I have been busy working some some tatting projects and love it lots.
Lets make the best of our New Year we make it what we want it to be and I want to be blessing to others.
