Fun in the Summer

Wow here it is the last day of June and we have had a very busy month. From the start of June LaNaya and I went to Pennsylvania to visit some special friends. While there I got to meet a farmgirl friend Staci Wickard and it was so amazing the small world. I wanted to share first what is this FarnGirl Business well it started by picking up the best magazine ever called MaryJane Farm Girl and then I went and joined there blog and we do fun things like swap simple things like buttons, holiday cards, to hankies , "ROAK" (random acts of kindness") we also swap recipes as well. I have two pen pals that I write to every month and love to learn lots about them as well . Anyway as the story goes on my BF Nessa lives in Pa and she sent me an email of a forward and it Staci noticed my email remembering it during a recipe swap. Anyway to make a long story short she (Staci as Nessa about it and the large world became a small one Staci attends the church that Nessa does and I had the privilege to meet her while I was there and it was such a blessing. The true thought that came to me was the Lord has people that come into our lives like that for a reason and I am so blessed with that.

Then I was so blessed to come home and share a day with my daughter before she went to camp for a few day and got ready for the shower for our daughter who is going to have a baby soon. As the day become closer and closer and hotter and hotter she will be ready!!!

While we were gone on vacation I got some special recipes that I would love to share one of them you are going to think WHAT it is so yummy try it and let me know what you think???

This is really yummy!!!

Peanut butter spread

1/2 C of butter

1C of peanut butter

1/2 C marshmallow creme

1 C pancake syrup

mix peanut butter and butter together and add the marshmallow creme and then add syrup a little at a time . ENJOY this is yummy!!! Good on apples too!!!

Then the next one is this and I love this cake recipe too it is very good!!!

Bee Sting Cake

Mix together

2 eggs

1 C sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1 C flour

1 tsp baking powder

Beat slightly add 1/2 C of milk with 2 Tbs butter and bring to a slight boil slowly pour over egg mixture and mix. Pour into cake pan and bake for 25-30 min.

when cake is done mix

10TBS brown sugar

1/4 C butter melted

1/4C cream

1 C shredded coconut

1 tsp vanilla

spread on warm cake and BROIL until bubbly not long!!!

This cake is very good too!!!

The other things I wanted share was this and is something that was mentioned to me at church on Sunday and it has really struck my heart as we are doers of the WORD than what is it so hard at time to have a cheerful heart and mind of this. WOW I sat with some kids and all they were doing was whining its to hot I want to go in and I don't like this and I have that and this person is picking on me so I sat down with them and I was talking about the LOVE of CHRIST and one thing lead to another and I said ok if you only had one thing to take home with you tonight what would it be and this little boy said I would take nothing because I have all I need the air I breath and that is all I need Mrs Betty Jo he said---My heart just sunk that was it lets all doers of the WORD and be thankful and grateful and love one another like we need to be.

So one that note I would like to encourage you all to be doers of the WORD and LOVE as something comes up that is not going like it should take a breathe and say it is all because of HIM!!!

I do have another thought the other day as I took my kids on a nature walk and we got to see lots of neat things likes this hornets net if you want to call it neat!!! Then a doe with twin fawns that was so awesome they were really cute as well and then they seen wild roses and some daises it was nice and hot and loved the walk.

Happy Father's Day

On this special day we celebrate the special men in our lives. I have you dad and you are such a great inspiration to me and I can express how much you mean to me and my family. I love every little time that we spent as I was a child I was that little person who would run after the tools if you needed them and then I would became a mom and your tender skills as a dad have really shown threw. I love to look at my children having babies and seeing some of those tributes in them. Dad you have been a wonderful rock for me I am so blessed to have you in my life.

Nest own with all of the women is Larissa,( getting ready to have a boy River in about 6 weeks) and me holding sweet Mikka who is almost five months old and sister Brenda and mom Elma and daughter LaNaya love this picture!!!! Then the next is special too heck they all are. Is Lars on his first fathers day with Mikka!!!!

Summer Time Fun

Greeting summer time has arrived still a cool evening here and there but that is ok with me I lovee summer, I have had a busy June with my daughter getting out of school the end of May and her and I spent a week together on vacation on the East coast~~my BF lives in Pennsyvinal and so we went to vist her and do some great site seeing while out there. We got to go and tour DC which was awesome and our dogs were barking by then end of the night after putting ten miles on them and it was rather warm that day but it was awesome to tour Capitol Building and then off to the moments and Arlington National Cementary which was awesome. Then Friday bight and early off to the boat went went for the weekend and it was lots of fun to get out on the boat on the Potomac River and see Colenal Beach as well and take the boat out to Shark tooth beach and actually find a shark tooth wash up to shore and laugh at LaNaya picking up dead fish and burying them. LOL Walk down to Colenal Beach and took in the River Festival that was fun. Saturday afternoon we touring in the area got to see a Winery and taste a little . Sunday off to Balitmore we went and went to George Wahingtons Birth Place and USS Constellions Ship have some cheese cake and went home to meet a special Farm Girl that I have chatted with that was so much fun.

Later that even went to visit a very special friend and her family MF, I loved to go and visit and relaz sat under the huge oak tree in front yard sipping on the best sweet tea ever and listen to LaNaya and her freind AF and MF chatter threw the window and watching the lightings bugs lite up the field as we sat and talked about her busy church day and how our site seeing was. Her garnden off to the right all weeded and produce growing nicely. Kittens playing around the corner chasing the lighting bugs. Monday off to Philly we went and had some really good food that day Philly Cheese Sandwiches and Pizza and not to mention the crepes as well and went site seeing some more.

There is one thing that I really learned durning this trip the friends and people that come acrossed your path you'll never know when and how you'll meet then but the seeds that you sow into there hearts are what is going to sprount in your life so take a moment to listen to share and make memories of a life time .

As we were gone we lost our family dog KD of fourteen years and a three year old cat Harlow and we weill always love them. MISS them too.

I also recieved many postcards while I was gone and a special tatted book mark and earrings in a Spring Exchange thanks Deb and all athe Farm Girls that have sent post cards.

Here it Sunday and the weather is warm today was able to get out and enjoy for sun!!!! Gotta love it have done some tatting to get caught up on some to do list that are laying around.

My thought of the day came as I was out pulling those weeds out of the flower bed and getting it ready to plant some seeds. I know at times we all have weeds in our lives and we need to pull them out and I know I have some that have been pulled and the only thing that have came out is the stems of the weed and that root is still there. As I went to pull out this dandelion I love them and hate them at the same time love them for jelly and hate them because their root is so long and at times I can't get the whole thing and today the Lord showed me that even tho we try our hardest to get the whole root --take some time and make sure that you are FREE from all bondage and enjoy that freedom just the the sun coming out from behind the clouds and being strong ---Take a stand against all of the hurts in your life and leave them at the feet of Jesus and love who HE is in your life you are wonderfully name by HIM and no one can change that . So this week rejoice in all HE does for you and release those hurts to HIM and be healing by HIS LOVE and Mercy, and don't be choked out by those weeds in your life--May God Bless you and have an awesome week.

I will be finishing my CDA (child development associate) class this week and I am so glad I cant wait!!! Please pray for me this week and I as well have an observation this week as well. Thank you Jesus!!!

Happy Mothers Day

Today as I woke up the sun shinning the kitty meowing wanting inside at three a.m. I thought to myself oh how I want to just sleep in and stay home and not go to church and then I went the most beautiful thing happen to me today as singing the awesome song during praise and worship. These are the lyrics to this song and I wanted to share read this and it is so awesome that the He LOVE US SO!!!

Spring Rain

Spring time rain was so awesome this week as I was looking at the the awesome flowers blooming all around . It is a sure sign of spring even tho we are still chilly here in the Dakotas it is allot better then begin under a couple feet of snow.

A few comment I wanted to share about is the people that you come in contact with there is always a reason why???The Lord had a plan for each and every person you meet the first most important thing is to love on them with the LOVE that Christ has given to you and HE first loved you the other thing that comes to mind is Prayer here is a quote that I read the other day by Dr. Jim Richards with Impact Ministry ( take a peek -- awesome stuff there) it said this "Prayer isn't a payment we make for protection. It's a visit we make for RELATIONSHIPS" wow this means so much to me as far as the relationship with our heavenly father is the daddy of it all and HE wants to know it all and to grow with HIM he will plant those seeds watch them grow--so pray and get to know HIM!!!

One that note I have been busy with work, school, and of course home and FRIENDS far and near!!! Here are some goodies that I got from them farm girl Journal Swap from Carole from AZ and Joanna from NH I love these I also received some awesome vintage quilt blocks Lots of fun things to do that is for sure! NOT ENOUGH TIME THO!!! The necklace was made out of Buffalo bone and it is awesome I love it as well these are true treasures for life!!!

The signature quilt I have pictures of the one that my grandma did and each block was done by her children and then there kids it is awesome and it is sitting in a box just waiting for family to do something with it!!!! Treasures of Life that is what those are!!

There is a couple things that i wanted to share as well ~~~the first thing is a recipe of our families that is simple and yummy!!!!

Quick Delicious Chocolate Whoopie Pies

2 boxes of chocolate cake mixes ( I use cheapest)

2/3 oil

5 eggs

mix well very thick and sticky and drop with a small scoop on cookie sheet cook for 10 minutes at 350 and let them cool and then put frosting between two of them and make a sandwich cookie out of and they are yummy I wrap in plastic wrap !!!

The last thing that I wanted to share is this sweet picture of my grand daughter Mikka whom I was able to spend lots of time with last Friday and LOVED IT!!!
