End of the HOT DAY!!!

The day ended in mixed feelings ~ as you work hard at some talents that your blessed with I think that the judging was really tough this year. This is how the standings went for me this year Photography I did not place I look at that in away I LOVE the picures and I will hang them myself . Then on quilting I was pleased especially to compare to the ones that got first I received a red which is second and third on the other one. That totally ok!!! The skirt got a second which is good, the tatted bookmark got a second which was ok ~ was confused there was no other tatting and it got a second???? So that two items I loved it was a basket made out of chicken wire I love it and it got a second and then the other was a flower arrangement that was done on a glass cream jug with daises I loved it and it received a second as well. So out of all no firsts and all seconds a one third and a couple that did not place at all that is ok!!! I am glad that I am done and I can relax and take a break from all of that!!!

There are lots of memories from first of all of the HEAT to watermelon contest to turtle races. Some the exhibits were awesome and some new ideas wow simple and “who would of thought of that idea” LOL I loved this one and get a giggle out of I was watching this 17 year old young man show this and he say my mom told me I had to do this I thought it was the coolest idea he took paper napkins two different printed ones and would sew then together to make that you have a total of four of them and then sew two together making a checkered like until they were sewed together and it was ironed for a runner I thought wow this would be cute for place mates so I am going to try that and use for fun parties !

WOW a BUSY couple of weeks

A few busy weeks have past boy the memories in those two weeks have been awesome from going to the festival in the park where there is lots of vendors to going and sitting in getting my heart filled with music that touched the spirit as well. Watching thousands of worship the Lord was just so refreshing!!! As the busy time starts once again here in out little town of Sturgis with the Motorcycle Rally only weeks way tents are up and vendors are ready and our town goes from 6500 to 600,000 so it is CRAZY ~~~we make sure we are ready for all of them so we don’t shop or anything at that time!!! A good time to leave if you can we all work regular jobs and are swamp with it all!! Please pray for all of us here!!!


I have some thoughts that I want to share. We all go seasons and I think of the summer how we grow and flowers are blooming, Fruits on some trees. I look at the last couple of weeks how things have touch me in the opening my eyes. I look our daughter and her growth in the Lord with a tender heart. I am so blessed to see these things. I love this season as I have been reading in John and today was reading in chapter three “For God so LOVED the world that He GAVE was LIFE” it is amazing He gave me LIFE this is a verse that my children learned at a very young age and I think that they finally get. I love to see how they have blossomed as the fruit is become ALIVE!!! I know that we all go threw growing spurts and I see it allot this last month!!!

There a few other things that have been so exciting Larissa is getting close to have her baby ~ she is having a sweet boy named RIVER!! Love it two grand babies in one year I love it!!! So we have been doing some walking and it is so fun!!! Pray for smooth delivery.

This last couple of weeks I have been so blessed with Farm Girl post cards swap to nice "Suddenly" the unexpected cards and gift) from Secret Santa's, to Secret Sisters ~~I received an awesome pink and white doily, a wonderful homemade card, some tea as well. I also received an old hankie and tea, apple doily, I LOVE THEM ALL THANKS to all of you. Thanks AJ for the awesome green tea as well!!!!! The other things that I wanted to mention is that the photo swap with all of the Farm Gals is going well I love to put faces with the names when we chat or exchange items!!!!

FAIR TIME AS WELL it is today it is HOT today so we went and showed and are now cooling off and I am so proud of her out of 19 project two purples and 15 blues and two red that is awesome I am so proud of her all the pushing paid off!!!!!Mine have not got judged yet I have two baby quilts, skirt , a chicken wire basket I made, and photos of course and I think that is it OH SILLY ME a tatted book mark this is the picture of it!!!

Blessings Blessing I have been so blessed this week I was off on Monday for the Holiday and had such a great weekend !!! On Saturday spent the day with Mikka and it was a blast!!!! She is getting so big!!!!! Went to the carnival with my daughter and DH loved it!!! Sunday was so cool here that we chilled at home and I spent some sometime baking and tatting some book marks and making some swap projects it was awesome !!!! Monday rolled around and it was nicer and we took a drive up my favorite place in the Black Hills called Spearfish Canyon and took some pictures .....take a look at them at the bottom!!!

Tuesday went to work and was ready to go woke up with a horrible back ache and then got better as the day went on and worked late but that was OK love those kids with all my heart as I arrived home I received an awesome package from Nancy my dear tatter friend she made River my grandson a pair of tatted booties they are so precious she made them from a pattern from Lenore English and needle tatted them with size 20 Lizbeth thread in steel blue they are awesome!!!! Treasure for life!!! Thanks Nancy!!!!! Then lots of postcards from Farm Girl Friends then I also received a sweet card from another farm girl that sent me some awesome recipes thanks to all of you ~~~~~ You have blessed me so much!!!!
